Giorgio Armani, an Italian luxury fashion house, is no doubt one of the most famed designer brands in the world. The eponymous founder began his career in fashion as a menswear buyer before becoming a designer for Nino Cerutti. He cemented his reputation as an esteemed menswear designer when he lauched his own line in 1975. He also introduces a collection of chic Armani designs for women that same year.
When it came to expanding their portfolio, Giorgio Armani signed an agreement with L'Oreal to create fragrances and beauty products. Armani for Women (1982) was the first fragrance launched by Giorgio Armani Beauty, and the brand released Armani for Men (1984) soon after.
Giorgio Armani has collaborated with many respected noses for their fragrances. They include Ron Winnegrad, Alberto Morillas, Annick Menardo, Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, Olivier Cresp, Nathalie Lorson, Jacques Cavallier, Francis Kurkdjian, Daphné Bugey, Nelly Hachem-Ruiz, Nicolas Beaulieu, and many others.
