Based in France, Maison Incens is a relatively recent perfume house that has made a favorable impression on fragrance lovers all around the world. Founded in 2013 by Philippe Constantin, the brand focuses on striking that elusive balance between craftsmanship and quality. They created their first fragrance in 2014, and their most recent creation came in 2020. Maison Incens fragrances are formulated by renowned perfumers like Jean-Claude Gigodot, Irina Zhurikhina-Nesa and Eric Gigodot.
Constantin wanted to pay tribute to the manuscript left for him by his father. Maison Incens happens to be an olfactory interpretation of the book, with their creations drawing inspiration from a fantasy civilization ruled by the magic of perfumery. Constantin explains his motivation behind the brand's first collection as follows:
"I wanted to create a niche fragrance collection, one I was sure would make my father proud. Authenticity, creativity , craftsmanship - doing something unique and breaking away from trends is important to me. Niche should be about being different, about standing out from the crowd – and that is what I try to achieve."
With smoldering, smoky fragrances that celebrate the endless potential of the oud-incense combination in perfumes, the collection has made the brand a staple among fragrance lovers who want to be bold in their fragrance profile.
Maison Incens focuses on creating new and unconventional fragrances which are personal and appeal to the wearer on a more intimate level.
Philippe Constantin, born in Morocco, has a French father and a Moroccan mother. He traveled to France to study economics and international law when he was just eighteen years old. His life and goals took quite the turn after his encounter with skilled perfumer Jean-Claude Gigodot. He began developing a passion for perfumes, which eventually led him to establish his very own perfume house, Maison Incens.
